The Cultivator Ripper Leg (also known as a shank or deep tillage leg) is a structural component of subsoilers or deep tillage cultivators.
Ripper Leg is designed to penetrate deep into the soil (often below the plow pan or hardpan) to fracture and loosen compacted layers without inverting the soil.
This process, known as deep ripping or subsoiling, improves soil structure, enhances water infiltration, and promotes root growth.
